To Our Valued Annual Pass Holders,
To those of you who have lost family and friends in the 22 February Earthquake we would like to express our most sincere sympathy. To those of you who have lost homes, businesses or jobs we would like to send our heartfelt wishes. To all of you, fellow Cantabrians and residents of Christchurch, we are standing beside you and can only hope that time will, in this case, prove a healer. We have suffered a tragedy on an almost incomprehensible scale and our city will be forever changed. However, each day seems to bring with it another small victory and an ever growing sense that we will get through this.
Welcome Aboard, like many businesses throughout Christchurch, has been profoundly affected by the Earthquake and its aftermath. Our Christchurch operations, the Christchurch Tramway, the Christchurch Gondola and Punting on the Avon, are currently closed. The Tramway, being situated in the heart of the CBD, will be the last of our attractions to return to a sense of normality but we are keen to have Punting and the Gondola open as soon as possible. We will keep you updated on our progress as we gain more information and knowledge. Any new developments will be posted online, so please keep an eye on www.welcomeaboard.co.nz for updates.
As some of you may have seen from the website, Annual Pass Cards (valid at 22 February 2011) will be extended out to take into account the time we have been forced to close our operations. Please rest assured that you will lose none of your current card life – your expiry date will simply be drawn out to include these lost months and days. If you have any particular concerns or questions, however, please feel free to email me directly at clea@welcomeaboard.co.nz
In the meantime, we have an offer for you as a token of our appreciation for your continued loyalty and patience. Throughout the month of April 2011, all Annual Pass Cardholders will be granted a 50% discount off Jet Boating at our Hanmer Springs operation, Thrillseekers Adventures (www.thrillseekers.co.nz). We understand the need for a break away from Christchurch during this fraught time and know that many of you will take advantage of Hanmer Springs’ close proximity during the upcoming school holidays. Please take with you your Adult, Family or Child Passes and present them at the Riverside Base or Town Ticket Office to receive your discount. Conditions are outlined below.
Terms & Conditions for the Annual Pass Cardholders’ Special April 2011
- 50% Discount on Jet Boating at Thrillseekers Adventures, Hanmer Springs between 1 April 2011 and 30 April 2011
- This offer is for the Annual Pass Cardholder only: 1 x Adult 50% Jet Boat ride per Adult Annual Pass. If you hold a Family Annual Pass, you must present both Adult cardholders cards in order to qualify for the discount for both adults and up to 3 children. If only 1 adult is accompanying (up to) 3 children then they only need to present that one particular card.
- A valid Annual Pass card must be presented to staff at Thrillseekers Adventures upon arrival in order to take advantage of this offer. All Cards with an expiry date valid at 22 February 2011 will be accepted. - Jet Boat bookings for this offer are essential. Please note, we cannot guarantee you a Jet Boat ride if you simply turn up at the Riverside Base. If you simply turn up and ‘try your luck’ please note that the earliest available ride could on another day.
